Hello,
The topic I have decided on is the use of behavioral medication in children. In more recent years there's been an increased amount of prescriptions given to children at a young age, and no one cares to consider the effects that it may have on them in later years. I believe that younger kids should be allowed to be children, and not be put on drugs to stiffle their hyper attitudes, which is natural to little ones. It is hard to test medications on children, and it bothers me that the parents allowing this do not think about what will happen to them down the road. There is already proof that certain drugs can cause health issues, but for most it is too late to fix. They treat it as a guessing game, and they just try out different combinations and doses until they find the right mixture that controls the "problems" that these little ones have.
